The mission of Music United is to UNITE the youth of Baltimore through the power of music and performing arts programs.

Using our unique model, Music United’s programming will bring together diverse school music and performing arts programs in an effort to build bridges through a medium EVERYONE can get behind.

UNITY

Music United, Inc. is dedicated to uniting children from different backgrounds through the power of music.

The motivation for Music United, Inc. was evident firsthand as The Cardinal Shehan School Choir united with The Krieger Schecter Day School Choir in 2019.

It was clear throughout the project with Krieger Schechter Day School and The Cardinal Shehan School that there was great value in opening the eyes to the diverse backgrounds of the students between the two groups. In this example, students from a Jewish day school in suburban Baltimore County, came together with students from a Catholic school in Baltimore City through a common passion of music and the arts.

There is a tremendous opportunity for other suburban Baltimore schools to partner with Baltimore City schools through the shared love of music and the arts. Such ‘suburb-city’ school pairings could have a tremendous benefit of normalizing opportunities for those less fortunate. By applying the success of the Krieger Schechter Day School and The Cardinal Shehan School relationship to other schools in the Baltimore area, many young lives can be positively impacted.

EDUCATION

Throughout Baltimore, and our entire nation, many schools, programs, organizations, and summer camps lack the funding and resources necessary to provide their students with a quality education in music and performing arts.

Music United, Inc. Founder, Harrison Fribush, recognized the superiority that many Baltimore Country school music programs hold over Baltimore City music programs. His school has a dedicated music room, fully trained music instructors/directors, a curriculum that includes music education, exploratory music classes to introduce instruments, choir programs in lower and middle school, music ensemble electives, and performing arts opportunities though musical theater and grade presentations.

A major goal of Music United, Inc. is to solve this issue, and work to enhance music programs all throughout Baltimore City. We are motivated to begin leveling the playing field for the youth of Baltimore City, and hope to ensure a bright future for music and performing arts education in Baltimore, Maryland.

OPPORTUNITY

Music United, Inc. works to ensure every kid has equal opportunities in the world of music and performing arts. Throughout Baltimore City, and the United States, so many underprivileged children may not have access to a quality music/performing arts program, musical instrument, or proper instruction.

As Music United, Inc. helps enhance the many struggling music programs throughout Baltimore City, we are dedicated to helping create/strengthen opportunities for youth.
